PHYSICAL DATA

• Siding shall be made of a Reynolds aluminum alloy sheet product with a minimum  tensile strength of 29,000 psi and a nominal* thickness of either 0.019 inch or 0.24 inch.
• Reynolds Westbrooke Aluminum Siding panels shall be designed for use in residential and light commercial applications with elevations up to 30 (thirty) feet. For applications of a different nature, contact Reynolds Building Products for further details and information concerning suitability.
• All horizontal siding panels shall have interlocking edges, minimum 1/2 inch butt leg and weep holes spaced approximately 15 inch centers in the butt leg of every panel, thus allowing the wall to breathe and to permit condensation and water vapor within the wall to escape. Elongated nailing slots shall be provided on approximately 1-1/2 inch centers in the nail hem of all panels to permit proper expansion and contraction on the wall. The nail hem, and the bottom lock of all panels shall be notched on both ends to provide for the proper overlapping of adjacent panels.

Double 4 or 8-inch horizontal Westbrooke Aluminum siding panels shall be 12 feet 6 inches in length and have a full 8 inch exposure.

Double 5-inch horizontal Westbrooke Aluminum siding panels shall be 12 feet 0 inches in length and have a full 10 inch exposure.

• Prior to painting, the metal shall receive a special cleaning process to assure maximum paint adhesion.
a. The Reynolds Westbrooke Aluminum Siding with ReynoGuard finish shall be a one coat linear polyester applied in a two phase operation that includes a corrosion-inhibiting pretreatment and a baked-on, high performance linear polyester topcoat. The topcoats shall have a minimum .7 mil film thickness.
b. The Reynolds® Vinyl-Tuf® plasticol coating on Reynolds Westbrooke siding shall be a two-coat, PVC (plasticol) coating applied in a two-phase operation that includes corrosion-inhibiting primer and baked-on, high performance PVC (plastocol) top coat. The plasticol coatings are to be baked on and not laminated. The total top coat shall have a minimum 3.5 mil film thickness.
• All accessories used with Reynolds Westbrooke Aluminum Siding panels shall be Reynolds siding accessories designed for use with that siding and shall have the same finish/coating (i.e. ReynoGuard acrylic or Reynolds Vinyl Tuf plasticol) both for proper compatibility of materials/finishes and to ensure that the warranty covering the siding and accessories is appropriate to both.
* The standard wall thickness tolerance for products made from aluminum sheet material shall be +0.000", -0.003".
CONFORMANCE

Reynolds Westbrooke Aluminum Siding products shall meet or exceed the following specifications:
          
American Architectural Manufacturer Association (AAMA) Specification 1402-86: Standard Specifications for Aluminum Siding, Soffit and Fascia.
• HUD Minimum Property Standard 4900.1 for One and Two Family Dwellings.
• HUD Minimum Property Standards 4910.0 for Multi-Family Dwellings.
• International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) Report No. 4885
• Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc. (BOCA) National Building Code.
